Dr. Cherri Lester PhD, LPC, LAT
Dr Cherri Lester, PhD, practices in Wyoming as a Clinical Mental Health Supervisor, a Licensed Professional Counselor (WY-LPC#382) and a Licensed Addictions Therapist (WY-LAT#275). She has extensive experience in working with communities, programs, policy, personnel and administrative responsibilities as a Regional Vice President, as well as an Executive Director. As an employee for the State of Wyoming, she was responsible for portions of the substance abuse control plan for the state, and was successful in implementing many levels of care across the state. Many services that the strategic plan called for were comprehensive substance abuse centers, drug courts, trauma-informed care, intensive outpatient services, and gender specific treatment. She has several years’ experience in working with the offender population. As clinical director, and Regional Vice President with WestCare, she oversaw substance abuse and sex offender programs in the Wyoming state prison system. She was also responsible for the oversight of a program at the Columbia River Correctional Institute in Portland Oregon. She also provided oversight to the mental health and detox program in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the Minnehaha County Detention Center. She has enjoyed her roles over the years and likes the process of helping other professionals grow in their field. (Dr. Lester is not accepting new clients.)
